Student Advocate and Arizona Native
I have dedicated my career to helping students and teenagers find their way. An Arizona-native, I completed my bachelor’s degree in Family Studies and Human Development at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona, where I was employed as a student worker in the Office of Admissions. Upon graduation, I accepted a position in a local treatment center on the adolescent unit and worked with teenagers from across the world seeking treatment for drug and alcohol addiction, eating disorders, behavioral issues, and other addictive behaviors.
I soon returned to the University of Arizona where I worked with incoming freshmen and their families preparing for new student orientation and their first day of college. I later transitioned to a new role within Enrollment Management supporting enrollment initiatives.
I earned my master’s degree in Higher Education from Northern Arizona University and a second master’s degree in Family and Human Development from Arizona State University. I completed my certificate in College Counseling from the University of California at San Diego in Fall 2020 and continue to participate in professional development opportunities including attending conferences, trainings, and enrolling in courses. I earned the designation of Certified Educational Planner (CEP) in March 2025, the highest certification in my profession.
I love to utilize my education and interest in family dynamics, adolescent development, and education while working with students and their families during the college admissions process. I understand every student and family is different and know the importance of maintaining healthy relationships through this rigorous process.
